  • First, open the Acronis True Image application.


  • When it opens, on the sidebar, click on Backup.


  • If there are other backups in the list, then click on Add backup. Entire PC option is pre-selected, leave it like that.


  • Specify a custom name for your Backup.


  • Now, click on Select destination and then select a destination for the Backup.


  • For Acronis Cloud backup, it will require True Image advanced or premium subscription. If there is an external drive plugged in, it will be displayed on “backup destination”.


  • To Backup on the cloud, select Acronis Cloud as a destination.


  • Click on Options set backup options like schedule, scheme, archive clean-up, etc.


  • I would recommend you to schedule regular backups of your system. Otherwise, you need to always manually Backup your data.


  • Set how long the Backup should be kept. To store locally, set up clean-up rules in Backup Scheme and if you’re not sure where to save, set it to “default” selection. 


  • Set up clean-up rules in Advance, if you store backups in the cloud.

If there is an external drive plugged in, it will be displayed on “backup destination”. Location not listed? Click on Browse and select a location.

  • To back up on the cloud, select Acronis Cloud as a destination.


  • Click on Settings to set backup options like schedule, scheme, archive clean-up, etc.

  • First, launch Acronis True Image on your computer.


  • When the application opens up, click on Backup, it’s on the left side of the application’s window.
